Heart to Heart: Click on LIFE TODAY link!

LIFE’s Mission Partners in China, Tim and Pam Baker, sent this report of a recently abandoned child. With your support, LIFE will continue to help the children of China through our dedicated partners.

From the first moment he was found by the gate on July 22, 16-month-old Israel has had a special fondness for foreigners. It appears that he has been very well cared for prior to arriving at the Langfang Children's Village.

Though he is fairly vigorous and looks good, the list of things wrong with his young heart seems overwhelming. He has a heart cushion defect, a single ventricle, a nearly single atrium, sub-pulmonary aortic stenosis, and mitral valve atresia. Despite these many defects, our heart experts at Washin Hospital want to wait a year to determine the necessary surgeries.

As his new name suggests—it means 'may God reign'—we believe that his arrival is a testament to His reign over each life in our care.”
